Charter Buses for Reenactors

The Battle of the Hook Committee will provide financial assistance for groups wishing to organize charter bus travel to this event for reenactors. We recognize the high cost of travel and hope that this effort makes it a little easier for reenactors to participate in this event.

Individuals and groups looking for a ride to the event should check this page for a list of the buses being organized. We will include contact information for each bus to connect organizers and riders. Buses currently being organized are listed below.

BAR Northwest Department Bus

A bus is being organized by the Northwest Department of the BAR – but you don't have to be a BAR member to ride. The bus is currently scheduled to leave Canton, OH on Thursday evening (Oct. 16), with a stop in Marietta, OH. Other stops are a possibility. The bus will return from the event on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 19). The price per seat is expected to be about $65.

Canadian – NY Bus

A bus is being organized in Toronto. This bus is scheduled to leave Watertown NY at 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning to arrive late Thursday night in VA. The bus will leave the event on Sunday by 6:00 p.m. to return home. The tentative plan is for the bus to pick folks up in Watertown, NY (easy drive for people in the Rochester and Toronto areas) with a possible stop in Albany on the way. The bus has 47 passenger capacity.
